Dear Friends of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel July 16th, 2008 Festival:
We welcome you, once again, to our special religious tradition of celebrating the feast of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. The tradition of our Festival began over a century ago with a petition to Our Lady to help all who work the land. This year the feast of Mt. Carmel falls on Wednesday. We will celebrate the feast on July 16.

 

We begin with the "emergence ceremony" when all of the statues are brought forth from St. Joseph's Church. Following will be the procession which is concluded with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

We hope that you would consider a pilgrimage to St. Joseph so that you can celebrate with us. Mary, Mother of God, under the title of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

The Feast of 2007 was an inspirational experience for all of us. Many people were here for masses, confessions, devotions and the procession on the 16th. We wish to invite all to this year's celebration. It will be a great week of spiritual devotion as well as a fun time to be with family and friends. The Masses, confessions and the procession on the 16th, is the focus of the week. Also there will be a week of carnival, games, great food and nightly music. The week will end with the raffling off of several exciting prizes. This year's top prize will be a new 2008 Cadillac CTS and also a Super 50/50 prize. We hope to see you here during this week of celebration. Remember to mark your calendar from July 15th thru July 20th.
