St. Joseph Parish Council
The
meeting was called to order by President, Jack Marinella, at 7:15 in the Parish
Hall. Frank Carrelli led the meeting in prayer.
Attendance: Msgr. Dominic Bottino, Marti Badagliacco, Nimia Bermudez, Pat
Campanella, Anthony Capella, Frank Carrelli, Ron Chance, Madge Codone, David
DiMeglio, Tom Durney, Mary Kryvoruka, Hugh LaMonaca, Maryann Laslie, Joseph
Olive, Anthony Padovani, Burwell Porter (Trustee), Minerva Rodriguez (Trustee),
Agustin Saldana, Sr. Dorothy Toussaint, Alex Tigro
Excused: Richard Blasberg, Sal Capelli,
Elvera Porter, Pat Rodio
May and June meetings have been set aside for the study of
the budget; therefore no minutes will be prepared. A short meeting included the
following two reports.x

With
7 members who worked at the Red House at the cemetery, the following work was
completed:
Removed all the rugs and pads, removed and cleaned all windows, removed old refrigerator, removed wallpaper from one of the bedrooms, ran shop-vac through whole house.
It was
reported that the following work still needs to be done:
Remove and replace roof over kitchen, remove and replace ceiling in kitchen, remove and replace damaged plaster on walls and ceiling in front bedroom, repair roof where both chimneys exit (both are leaking), repair steel columns on front porch, replace front and rear doors and storm doors and install locks with deadbolts, replace curtains and shades, replace toilet, paint all rooms, replace rugs and pads, install concrete walk from front steps to driveway, grade driveway to get water away from house, flooding in back yard, install handicap ramp on front steps, install additional outlets I each room for computers and equipment, cut grass.
The
house has no heat, water, sewer, or air conditioning. All must be repaired.

For the spring fling, 155 tickets were sold a total of
$3,100. Expenses were Beer $69.97, Caterer
$1,700, Disk Jockey $300, Miscellaneous $212.53 – a total of $2,283.50.
the net profit was $816.50.
New Business
Budget
Study was led by Monsignor Bottino.
The
next meeting will be held in the Parish Hall on June 6, after 6:30 Mass. Pat
Campanella will prepare the opening and closing prayers.
At
9:00 p.m. a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Joseph Olive and seconded
by Frank Carrelli. Frank Carrelli led the closing prayer.
