St. Joseph Parish Council
The dinner meeting was called to order by President, Jack Marinella, at 7:20 at Fairchild’s in Atco. Sr. Helen led the meeting in prayer.
Attendance: Fr. Carmen Carlone, Sr. Helen Sanchez, Sr. Nicolina Spolzino, Marti Badagliacco, Nimia Bermudez, Pat Campanella, Anthony Capella, Frank Carrelli, Madge Codone, Nick Domenico, Fr. Ron Falotica, Sharon Figueroa, Jerry Jablonowski, Steve Kincaid, Mary Kryvoruka, Jack Marinella, Joseph Olive, Anthony Padovani, Burwell Porter (Trustee), Elvera Porter, Pat Provnick, Pat Rodio, Minerva Rodriguez (Trustee), Agustin Saldana, Sr. Dorothy Toussaint

Marty Badagliacco reported that the liturgy committee met and planned all the liturgies for the year. Another meeting will be held in January.
Sharon Figueroa outlined the activities of the youth starting with the 4:30 p.m. Mass on Christmas Eve. The children will participate in the pageant. The 8 p.m. Mass will be in Spanish. The 11:00 Mass will be sung by the Anglo choir. On Christmas Day, the Masses will be at 8:30, 10:30, 12:30.
Fr. Carmen announced that the Finance Council members are Frank Bartolone, Mrs. Padovani, Matt Campanella, and Finance Committee members. The Finance Council will be a part of the Parish Council. Issues that they will have to address are: the need for a gathering space, the mausoleum, how to run the parish financially, analysis of every aspect of the church, etc. A few more fundraisers may be necessary.
Fr. Carmen suggested that next year all societies of the parish have their Christmas parties on the same day so that everyone gets to know each other better.
Frank Carrelli informed the Council that the Religious Celebrations Committee meetings will begin on the third Tuesday in January.
Fr. Carmen informed the council that the chairs for servers were donated. Also, only one light in the church had to be purchased; all other lights were donated.
Sr. Helen gave a report on the elementary school regarding the playground, the Tree Lighting Service, the Toys for Tots project, and the food donated for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Anthony Padovani announced the results of the election of new members. The results were: Hugo Sandoval, Anthony Capella, Ron Chance, Anthony Sceia, Nimia Bermudez for a three-year term with Joseph Olive and Carol Sanfilippo for a two-year term.
Jack Marinella will preside at the meeting in January at which time he will pass the gavel on to the new president. The meeting in January will include election of officers by closed ballots, and an appreciation dinner for the many years of service that Jack Marinella gave to the parish.
The next meeting, an appreciation dinner meeting, will be held in St. Joseph Hall on Wednesday, January 10, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. Pat Campanella will prepare the opening and losing prayers.
At 9:45 p.m. a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Frank Carrelli and seconded by Mary Kryvoruka. The meeting was closed with a prayer led by Mary Kryvoruka.
