St. Joseph
Church Eucharistic Ministry
Eucharistic Ministers assist the priests during Mass and with special liturgical celebrations. They also take Holy Communion to the sick or homebound, to area nursing homes and the local hospital.
A Eucharistic Minister develops a deep personal relationship to the Blessed Sacrament, carrying Our Lord to the sick of our community. This enables them to experience the comfort and consolation of receiving The Body of Christ.
Carrying The Holy Eucharist to others, becoming His arms and legs, is the greatest spiritual satisfaction that a layperson can experience. Following selection for this ministry by the pastor, Eucharistic Ministers are provided with specialized training by the diocese.
